The biannual Peatland Day seminar will be organized by the Finnish Peatland Society on Thursday, 5 February 2026, at the House of Sciences and Letters, Helsinki (Kirkkokatu 6).
The theme of this year’s seminar is “With Peatland Research Towards a Sustainable and Diverse Future.” The organizers welcome contributions related to peatlands, including both oral presentations and posters, from junior and senior researchers alike.
Invited talks will be given by Professor Eeva-Stiina Tuittila (University of Eastern Finland), Research Professor Kristiina Lång (Natural Resources Institute Finland), and Associate Professor Hannu Marttila (University of Oulu).
The deadline for abstract submissions is 14 November 2025. Submission is open.
