Summary:
Cors Fochno or Borth Bog is a raised bog on the southern side of the Dyfi estuary on the west coast of Wales, United Kingdom. It forms part of the Dyfi Biosphere Reserve, is a Ramsar listed wetland, a National Nature Reserve and a Special Area of Conservation (SAC). The JNCC say of this site “Although a substantial part of the former peatland complex has been taken for agriculture, the surviving core area supports the largest expanse of primary nearnatural raised bog in an estuarine context within the UK”.
