The 9th Flow Country Research Conference will take place hosted by the Environmental Research Institute (ERI) in the Flow Country region in Thurso, Caithness, Scotland.
The conference gathers researchers, land-managers, policymakers and practitioners to exchange the latest science and practice on peatland ecosystems and their response to changing climate and land-use.
This year’s meeting is particularly significant as it follows the inscription of the Flow Country as the world’s first peatland UNESCO World Heritage Site in July 2024, providing an opportunity to reflect on the region’s role in global biodiversity and climate solutions.
