AsiaFlux 2025 co-hosted by IPS in Riau, Indonesia
The IPS has been officially confirmed as a co-host of the AsiaFlux Conference 2025, to be held in Riau, Indonesia, on 20 – 25 October 2025.
Themed “Nature-Based Solutions for Asia”, the conference will connect science, technology, and practice to tackle climate change and promote sustainable land use. Sessions will cover greenhouse gas fluxes, peatlands, forests, agriculture, and MRV systems, with hands-on training and field visits.
AsiaFlux is a leading scientific network linking Asia to global efforts like FLUXNET, supporting climate action and carbon market readiness. The event includes a flux measurement training course, scientific program, young scientists meeting, and excursion.
Held in Pangkalan Kerinci, the venue highlights Indonesia’s tropical ecosystems and FOLU Net Sink 2030 ambitions, Indonesia’s flagship climate action initiative. The conference is free to attend, with lunch, transport, and gala dinner provided. Abstract submission and registration are now open, and scholarships available.
