Seventeenth meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity

The 17th meeting of the Conference of the Parties (COP17) to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) will take place in Yerevan, Armenia next year, from 19 to 30 October 2026.
The high-level conference will bring together representatives from governments, international organizations, civil society, and other stakeholders to review progress in the implementation of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework.
Discussions will focus on advancing global efforts to conserve biodiversity, promote sustainable use of natural resources, and ensure the fair and equitable sharing of benefits arising from genetic resources. Armenia will highlight is role in supporting the objectives of the Convention and in contributing to global biodiversity goals. IPS will follow-up and participate, if feasible.
