An IPS webinar on the occasion of UN World Environment Day, World Peatlands Day
World Environment Day is the United Nations day for encouraging worldwide awareness and action to protect our environment. This year the theme is Ecosystem Restoration. In addition, on 5th of June 2021 the UN Decade of Restoration was be launched, which is also of high relevance for peatlands of all kind.
IPS has launched its World Peatlands Day in autumn 2019, and is celebrating this important event now on 2nd of June for the second time. We unite these both events to hold the first IPS peatland restoration webinar on 14th of June.
